New product development: Learning needs around in-work people skills, 2016

Exciting project working with a fantastic start-up company with strong people development heritage, investigating the potential for a product specialising in people skills in the work environment.

An insight into education audiences in Wider Europe, 2016

A programme of research commissioned by the British Council and run in Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.

Employability product/service, 2016

The National Union of Students wanted to investigate interest in an employability-related product/service amongst HEIs, Students' Unions, and students themselves, as part of a product development process.

Student Experience Survey, 2016

An exciting commission to analyse and present findings from undergraduate and postgraduate experience surveys with students overseas taking degrees from a historic UK university, a repeat client, supported by findings from Google+ focus groups.

 Populus, 2015

Executive support to add capacity during the secondment of a Populus Research Manager to a major blue chip client for three months.

Student segmentation, 2015

Working with the National Union of Students, we produced a segmentation from existing data based on communication, student interests, involvement in clubs and societies and risk factors.

Master's degree insight survey, 2014

This project was commissioned by a Russell Group university, a repeat client, to investigate what actions would help to increase application, registration, study, and exam-sitting rates, and to establish levels of willingness-to-pay for specific academic and administrative enhancements.  The client commended the project for providing "great insights."

Potential for a new BA (Hons), 2014

This independent, not-for-profit university, a repeat client, was seeking to extend its portfolio in subject areas fitting its mission for niche programmes.  Desk-based and online qualitative research provided intial direction.

Feasibility study for a proposed new School at an Independent University, 2013

Student Experience Survey, 2013

An exciting commission to design, analyse and present findings for an undergraduate and postgraduate student experience survey with students overseas taking degrees from a historic UK university.

Business Confidence Survey, 2013

Survey for the local Business Association, online and by telephone for non-email users (there still are some!) in my local town, exploring the challenges facing businesses. It fed into the Business Association's strategy and acted as 'the voice of business' for the Town Council which led a Neighbourhood Plan.

Consultation for Commission for Ethnic Diversity, Milton Keynes Council, 2013

The Children and Families Partnership of Milton Keynes Council launched a Commission on Ethnic Diversity; the purpose was to improve services for all children and families in Milton Keynes. The Commission, chaired by Dr Umut Erel of the Open University, explored how local services responded to the needs of an increasingly ethnically diverse population.   I was commissioned to facilitate groups with BME parents using maternity services, childcare services, and primary schools in Milton Keynes.

Customer satisfaction pilot project, 2012 – 2013

International pilot project for business-to-business customer satisfaction in a very niche market. We collected all of the information needed, online, in a grand total of six questions (which respondents overwhelmingly endorsed, they're busy people!), including two open questions which gave clear pointers to 'quick wins' and encouraging feedback on performance for a 'Hall of Fame'.
