Chris Brookes, the founding Director of Start-up Research, has over twenty years’ experience in market research. She began her career at Millward Brown, and has since been client-side at Which? and Royal Mail. Chris has worked at Director level for leading market research agencies including Ipsos-MORI. She has a degree in English & American Literature and an MBA from the University of Warwick, and is a Certified Member of the Market Research Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
In addition, she holds a Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring from the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, and a qualification in teaching adults (PTLLS). She is also a committee member of Stony Stratford Business Association and chair of their Marketing Group.
Chris's particular strengths are quantitative research; knowledge of a wide range of business service sectors and their issues; international research; research in higher education, and online research. She has extensive experience of conducting and analysing qualitative research, typically when needed prior to a quantitative stage, and of using workshops to define and progress business issues for blue chip clients. She has also carried out a range of successful secondary (desk) research projects.
